Friday, 4/2/10, after hearing the news of Aunt Ruth’s passing, I found myself, to my surprise, quite upset. I decided to celebrate LIFE that evening so I went to one of the clubs where I have friends. I told the story of the Gilpin heritage and of my auntie going to be with her heavenly family (her brothers and sisters) so WE ALL toasted life and Aunt Ruth with some brew and also some shots of Bailey’s. My friends were there to lean upon and listen to the stories. Hugs and kisses were passed from one to another and glasses raised in memory of all the Gilpin clan had lost. That night my friends were also OUR family.
